As a “car guy,” it has been a pleasure to work on GM Performance Parts business. I have to say it has given me some of my favorite assignments as a designer.

These GMPP Supermatic Transmission logos were developed for the brand’s new transmission parts offerings. A leader in the performance parts industry the client wanted something simple graphic that could later be used as a symbol.

I designed the stacked and horizontal version for print, web, and packaging applications. The idea for the future of the product would be to use the round, alternating circles to identify the product. The circles were designed as part of the logo to evoke how the plates in the transmission move.
